Albion Water sewer issues and update

Dear residents,

During the latter part of the afternoon yesterday (Wednesday 12 April 2023) we discovered a significant blockage in the sewer network near the Copse. Unfortunately, despite our best effort this couldn’t be cleared by usual remedial works.

We now need to bring in specialist equipment which will take a few days to arrive.

In the meantime , to ensure your comfort and to keep the network balanced, we have had to employ tankers to drain the systems. You may have noticed a few of them through yesterday, unfortunately tankers are not discreet vehicles but we are trying our best to minimise inconvenience and disturbance.

Through today you may notice diggers around the Copse, this is Albion Water trying to identify the extent of the problem.

Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused and will be doing everything within our power to prevent any unpleasant sewage spills or disruption to your service.

Lastly can I extend a big “Thank you” to all the residents who have supported us by granting access to properties where needed. It is much appreciated.
