On Monday 9 January 2023, the Upper Rissington Parish Council voted on the appointment of Councillors Nick Maxey (left in main photo) as Interim Chair and Dan Holden (right) as Vice Chair.
Nick, a former RAF Senior Officer, previously held the role of Vice Chair and offered to cover the period up until the elections on 4 May 2023 to maintain continuity of governance. Nick succeeds Councillor Andy Cairns, who stepped down from the role of Chair in December 2022.
Parish elections will take place on 4 May 2023, with all 11 seats available on the Upper Rissington Parish Council available; it is anticipated that most of the current Parish Council will offer themselves for reelection. We encourage all residents to come to our next meetings to learn more about the Parish Council’s work and the role of being a Councillor.

Although Andy will be sorely missed, I offer my good wishes to both Nick and Dan.
