Resident tree planting

The Parish Council recently received correspondence from a young resident of the village, Ms Ella Fox, expressing her disappointment at the loss of some trees in the area of the new bowling green.

At the September meeting the Council unanimously agreed to provide a new tree for the village and invited Ella to a ceremonial planting last weekend.  The new tree, a Himalayan Weeping Birch, has been planted on the open space by Wellington Road, to the rear of the Coop.

Ella, accompanied by her family, were joined by Andy Cairns and Sandra Mitchell from the URPC, along with Andrew Mitchell from Rotary in the Rissingtons.
