The initial draw of the Upper Rissington allotments took place on Monday 21 November with an audience circa 25 residents.
40 half-plots have been made available to the village as part of the Victory Fields development and these have now been allocated.
Commenting on the events of the evening, Chair of the Upper Rissington Parish Council Andy Cairns said “Residents have been waiting a long time for the allotments and as a Council, we’re delighted that we’re able to move forward with their use”.
The next steps will see residents allocated a plot contacted by the Village Clerk to sign and pay their licence. If residents no longer proceed with their application or fail to respond, the plot will be reallocated against the current waitlist, also drawn on Monday evening.
Access to the allotments will be made as soon as possible once the final legal agreements are completed.
A further update will be published by the Parish Council on how residents can request been added to the waitlist.
